There are three main reasons for wanting to share your phone screen to a tv.
Maybe you want to share over onto a computer for live streaming.
Or maybe you want to share your device screen so that you can monitor things while you’re, say, recording video using the back of the main camera on your device.
Or maybe you just want to see your videos and games on a big TV in the living room.
There are different ways to do each of them and each way does have some advantages and disadvantages.
#1 Screen Mirroring Software
Screen mirroring software, like Reflector or AirServer will work whether you’re on Mac or PC.
For this to work you need to install Reflector or AirServer on your computer, run that program app and make sure your computer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your mobile device.
Then, over on your mobile device, all you need to do is enable screen mirroring, select your computer from the list and then, your phone screen will be mirrored over onto that computer.
Now, depending on which device you’re using, there’s a couple of different ways that you can enable screen mirroring.
On the most recent devices, all you need to do is swipe down from the top into the notifications panel and there’s most likely an option in there for screen mirroring or to enable Smart View.
Select that and then, select your computer from the list.
So at this point, you can then see your phone screen mirrored wirelessly over on your computer.
Now, what both Reflector and AirServer will let you do is actually record your phone screen from within those programs as well.
They also both give you the ability to customize up your recording quality and recording format and changing things like the resolution and the frame rate and the bit rate, the actual quality.
Both Reflector and AirServer will actually let you transmit wirelessly multiple devices onto your computer at the same time and they’ll both also work if you’ve got iOS devices as well.
Using this wirelessly mirroring method is gonna be great if you just wanna be able to see it on a bigger device, on your computer screen.
#2 Quick Connect
Quick-connect feature only works on samsung devices and allows you to easily search and connect using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and have to look for mobile devices smart TVs and/or streaming devices such as the Chromecast TV.
You can use Quick Connect to mirror content like videos, images, audio and of course screen mirror.
For this to work keep in mind that your TV needs to be capable of supporting Wi-Fi connections and you will need to have this enable.
In ordered for quick connect to work do these steps…
Slide your finger down from the top of the screen to pull down the notification bar.
Enable and select Quick-Connect, for the first time you may be prompted to update or enable it.
Select the device you’d like to connect to, in this example the device is connected to a smart TV.
#3 Smasung AllShare Cast Hub
If you have a Samsung device but not a compatible Samsung Smart TV then the way that it works is very simple connect.
The AllShare Cast Hub to an AC power outlet-then connect your HDTV using a standard HDMI cable-then go to wireless settings turn on AllShare cast and select your device.
#4 ScreanBeam Mini
If you don’t have a Samsung device or if you don’t have a smart TV your best bet will be a ScreenBeam mini – this is a wireless display receiver which works via Bluetooth.
For the ScreenBeam Mini to work just need to connect the power cable to the receiver which is a USB cable to the TV if it has a USB port
#5 Google Chromecast
Last but not least google chromecast is a streaming device that connects into the HDMI port.
you can turn the TV you already have to stream your favorite TV shows, music, sports games and more.
Google Chromecast basically turns your dumb TV into a smart TV.
Chromecast works with iPhone, iPad, Android devices, Mac, Windows computers and Chromebooks.
The price of around $35 It’s a steal compared to other devices like the Apple TV and the ones that I previously mentioned. This is a good alternative for a short budget.
You only need to connect the HDMI cable to your TV and then plug the microUSB cable into the chromecast and then connect the adapter to the wall or to an available USB port on your television to feed the power.
The ideal way of doing this then turn on the TV and switch it to the correct HDMI port and then download the chromecast up on your iPhone or Android.
If your mobile device doesn’t support screen mirroring or any other type of connection to your TV then you should definitely try chromecast.
It works pretty similar to the previous devices that I show you earlier the only difference is that you need a strong Wi-Fi connection and make sure your chromecast and devices are within a good range from your router for best results or else you might experience connection problems.
